A PCHS Animal Champion is someone or a group of people (like a club, team or business) who has gone above and beyond to help the Somerset-Pulaski County Humane Society help the animals in our area.
Instead of saying "Someone should do something!", Animal Champions say "I AM SOMEONE. I WILL DO SOMETHING!"
In some cases, "something" could be as easy as coordinating can collection in an apartment complex, trailer park or your place of work in support of our "Cans for Critters" Program. Or maybe, it might be something that takes a little more work and could be a whole lot more fun -- like perhaps you would want to host a neighborhood Dog Wash, charge $5/dog and donate the proceeds to the Somerset-Pulaski County Humane Society. Or maybe, if you like to bake, you could make yummy home made pet treats and sell them at work and/or school. Or, print out our document about Charitable Fundraisers for Business at right... take it to and talk to your boss. Not only could you be an Animal Champion, but your team, department or company could too!
The bottom line is, we NEED YOU to get involved! Do something! YOU ARE SOMEBODY! If you need a little support, or some ideas, please contact us! We would love to hand out lots of Animal Champion awards!
Your business can make a difference in Animal Lives!
There's lots of reasons businesses should do fundraisers for local charities: team-building, morale boost, and increased positive customer perception (All lead to money saved [increased productivity] or money gained [new and repeat customers]!)
